چکیده
The objective of this study was to evaluate performance, gastrointestinal morphometry, carcass, and non-carcass traits in lambs finished on different levels canola grain the diet. Twenty-seven Santa Ines with an average initial weight 19.33 ± 1.39 kg were given diet: 0, 8, 16%. Weights body condition scores determined at beginning, every 14 days end experimental period. Animals slaughtered assess carcass traits. statistical design used completely randomized. inclusion showed a linear effect (0.723) for width height ruminal papillae ventral region rumen. Intestinal villi crypts quadratic effect, peaks 0.62 µm 0.43 µm, 8 16%, respectively. When evaluating traits, decreasing found hot cold yield 16% canola. Canola can be as alternative diets finishing sheep up 8% diet without affecting intestinal histometry,

Carcass Traits and the Quality of Meat from Cattle Finished on Diets Containing Barley
Research on barley as an animal feed started some decades ago but its utilization in animal production has been limited to countries that grow the crop extensively. Corn has been the most popular energy feed in cattle rations, but the high price of corn and the decreased supply of the grain in the international market have shifted the focus of the animal industry to other cereal crops like barl...
متن کاملEffects of Different Pre-starter Diets on Broiler Performance, Gastro Intestinal Tract Morphometry and Carcass Yield
An experiment was conducted to examine the effects of different pre-starter diets on the performance, digestive organs and carcass characteristics of broilers. One hundred and fifty day-old broiler chicks were divided into five groups with three replicates having ten chicks each. During first ten days the birds were fed on five experimental pre-starter diets formulated with different metaboliza...
متن کاملGenomic Prediction of Testcross Performance in Canola (Brassica napus)
Genomic selection (GS) is a modern breeding approach where genome-wide single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) marker profiles are simultaneously used to estimate performance of untested genotypes. In this study, the potential of genomic selection methods to predict testcross performance for hybrid canola breeding was applied for various agronomic traits based on genome-wide marker profiles. A tot...
متن کاملFinishing Diets Containing Wet Distillers Grains on Feedlot Performance and Carcass Characteristics of Finishing Steers1
Three-hundred sixty calf-fed steers (BW = 318 ± 15 kg) were used in a completely randomized design to evaluate corn processing methods in finishing diets containing wet distillers grains plus solubles (WDGS). Whole corn (WC) was compared with corn processed by different methods, consisting of dryrolled corn (DRC), high-moisture corn (HMC), a 1:1 DRC:HMC combination (DM basis), steam-flaked corn...
متن کاملInfluence of lead on growth and nutrient accumulation in canola (Brassica napus L.) cultivars.
Canola (Brassica napus L.) is commonly used as a hyper-accumulator for phytoextraction of heavy metals from soil and water. Like many other heavy metals, lead (Pb) contaminates soil, water and air and thus it is a great problem. This study was conducted to investigate toxic effects of Pb on growth and nutrient uptake in four canola cultivars. Each of four cultivars of canola (Con-II, Con-III, L...
